StrasseLink Pte Ltd is led by Capt. Fadzlon. Back in 1999, Captain Fadzlon Ahmad did research and development study for pilotage services along the increasingly busy Straits of Malacca and Singapore. He subsequently developed, headed and managed the OPL business for an International Corporation in Singapore.

StrasseLink is regarded as one of the established companies within the marine industry, with our core strength in Marine Advisory service and consultancy. This is made possible with our dedicated employees, sophisticated IT system and an integrated QHSE management system.
Incorporated in 2005, we provide a suite of marine services which includes:
- Pilotage
- Towage
- Marine Advisory
- Marine Consultancy
Our team has more than 80 years of collective pilotage experience in the busy waters of Singapore. They include qualified Master Mariners with command experience on Foreign Going (FG) vessels. Our Marine Advisors have had years of experience as Class A1 pilots, piloting and anchoring vessels of all sizes in and around Singapore. These Marine Advisors are professionals and versatile with the skill sets of pilots, including the ability to conduct communicator jobs, sea trials, piggy back of oil rigs, semi-submersibles and FPSOs. Our Marine Advisors are also experienced and capable tow masters, mooring masters and STS Superintendents, serving vessels conducting STS and terminal operations in this area.
In a decade of existence, StrasseLink has the accumulated experience of piloting more than 75,000 ships of all types and sizes, sound knowledge of local rules and regulations, extensive experience in manoeuvring ships in narrow channels and fairways, skilful in manoeuvring Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) with a laden draught of around 20 meters, Triple-E Container Ships, large Q-Max and Q-Flex sized LNG/LPG vessels and FPSO/Oil Rigs in and out of the crowded anchorages.
StrasseLink has been consultants to Witherby’s Publishing House for their biennial publication ‘Passage Planning Guide: Malacca and Singapore Straits’ over the last 4 years for their 2011 and 2013 editions, and for the upcoming 2015 edition too. We have also contributed articles and expert opinions on ECDIS and various subjects for UK Witherby’s ‘Shipping Regulations and Guidance’ magazine, along with experience acting as expert consultants for law firm Onn & Bazul, handling accident investigations.
Our team is well prepared and able to respond clearly in a crisis, given the “Crisis Management” training we have provided, and maintain a warm and cordial relationship with the Masters and their bridge team. We are aware the local traffic patterns and problems caused by tugs and tows, and add value during storing operations off Singapore, where our local knowledge and the provision of an extra member on the navigation bridge can be of great help.
