NOTE: Marine Advisors provide pilotage services outside the territorial limits off the littoral nations. Within port limits, compulsory pilotage applies. The services of Marine Advisors and harbour pilots should be distinct and separate. In line with IMO fatigue management recommendation, a fresh pilot (harbour pilot) should conduct the service from the appropriate boarding grounds into the port waters or berths.
Our Marine Advisors provide seamless service to vessels going to any of the designated anchorages or berths in Singapore. The vessel will not have to wait for the harbour pilot at the boarding ground, as the Marine Advisor would coordinate with the Pilotage Company to ensure that the relieving harbour pilot would be waiting upon the arrival of the vessel at the boarding ground. Based on IMO recommendations on fatigue management, this arrangement offers added safety and convenience to the vessels.
The Marine Advisor could conduct the vessel directly to the pilot boarding ground at port limits. In compliance with Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) regulations, harbour pilot will then conduct the vessel into the controlled anchorages of Singapore or bring her to the designated berth. Similar practices apply when Marine Advisor conducts a vessel to the pilot boarding grounds of Malaysia and Indonesia.
Please note that Marine Advisory Service is only for operations outside Singapore port limits and outside the territorial waters of the littoral nations; namely Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
